This Privacy Policy explains how HuntrStay (we, us, our) handles personal information collected through huntrstay.com and related services. HuntrStay is operated from South Australia; the operating entity will be disclosed here when bookings open.

We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

While HuntrStay is in waitlist mode we collect only what you give us through the signup form:

• Your email address (required).
• Your name (optional).
• Your state or territory.
• Whether you are signing up as a hunter or landowner.
• For hunters: what species you hunt (optional).
• For landowners: property size in acres (optional).
• Anything you write in the free-text "notes" field (optional).

We may also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit the site (such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited) through our hosting provider's server logs. We do not currently use any analytics or tracking products.

We do not collect or store firearms licence numbers, photos, or any licence data. Licence checks happen in person between hunters and landowners.

We use your personal information to:

• tell you when HuntrStay launches in your state;
• send you product updates, surveys and early-access invitations relevant to the waitlist you joined;
• understand demand by state, role and species so we can prioritise rollout;
• operate, secure and improve the Platform;
• comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use your information for any new purpose without your consent or unless we are permitted or required to by law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us operate the Platform — currently Supabase (database hosting) and Netlify (web hosting). These providers process the data only on our instructions and under contractual confidentiality.
• Authorities where required by Australian law (for example, in response to a lawful subpoena, warrant or regulatory request).
• A future acquirer, in the event of a sale or restructure of HuntrStay, on terms that preserve your rights under this Policy.

Our hosting providers (Supabase, Netlify) may store and process data on servers located outside Australia (including in the United States and Europe). By using the Platform you consent to your information being transferred to and stored in those jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers handle your data consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We hold your information in cloud databases protected by access controls, encryption-in-transit (HTTPS), and provider-level encryption-at-rest. We use security practices appropriate for an early-stage waitlist; no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur.

We retain waitlist information for as long as we operate the waitlist or until you ask us to delete it.

Under the Privacy Act and the APPs you may:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• ask us to delete your information ("right to be forgotten");
• opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us;
• complain about how we have handled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@huntrstay.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

We do not currently set tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a small number of functional cookies necessary to deliver the site. We will update this section before introducing any analytics, advertising or third-party tracking.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always at huntrstay.com/privacy. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
